Holmfirth is so much more than Last of the Summer Wine.

The pretty West Yorkshire town nestles in a river valley with spectacular views of the Pennine hills, there are dozens of interesting independent shops and it’s a great place to explore the local countryside, including the Langsett Reservoir and surrounding moors.

Oh, and the Magic Rock Brewery Tap is amazing, and I’d recommend staying at the Old Bridge Hotel.

You’ve probably guessed that I like the place.
