I love the word ‘bobbins.’ So Mancunian, so unique - and totally baffling to most people from elsewhere in the country.

I used it in a project I did for MMU at Manchester Central Library a few years ago, along with my painting, but I’ve reconfigured it for a brand new Manchester poster, because I can!

It’s also a nod to one of my all-time favourite artists, the surrealist René Magritte. What a guy.
