When you do Preston, feature Wallace and Gromit or Preston North End, people said to me.

And frankly, when they all do that, it’s the best possible reason to do something else. Hence my Preston poster features the local delicacy of butter pie. And to the best of my knowledge, no other artist has done that.

It also includes the newly-revamped Harris Museum and Art Gallery, the pride of Preston, and a random sleeping woman.

However it is a massive nod to Rene Magritte, one of my favourite surrealist painters. No harm in being influenced by a giant talent like his!
