Eric Jackson

Former journalist Eric Jackson, who was the arts editor, TV critic and travel editor of the Manchester Evening News and a lecturer in journalism at two universities, has returned to his first love of painting, which he studied at art school, and he now specialises in northern poster art. His one aim: to make art fun, combining his love of words and visual imagery. His first series of works concentrates on the districts surrounding Manchester, where he was born. These are both subversive and affectionate, highlighting the quirks and peculiarities of a place.

My posters, unframed, are available to buy through my online store or you can contact me on or text on 07837 781150.

They are also available, framed, at numerous shops, cafes and galleries or by emailing me and paying by BACS.
